Disney!
Today we came across a fun spread from the latest issue of Spanish Elle Magazine. They turned some of the most prestigious fashion designers into Disney characters. Included in the spread are Karl Lagerfeld, Albert Elbaz, Donatella Versace, Dolce & Gabbane, Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Maripol recently, and I can only imagine what kind of trouble this woman got into in the 80’s. She’s a LEGEND. During a conversation at the Bowery one night Maripol aligned my name to none other that legendary Freddy Foxx. Am I the Fab 5 Freddy of my generation?? Not bad…not bad at all. Hit more to see the actual t-shirt and a pic of Maripol with your favorite Non-blogger. What you thought I forgot about that?? “No no no…I’m not you Blogger. I am not you!… I really live this!”
Maripol was brought up in France before moving to New York, USA in 1976. She is an artist, film producer, fashion designer and stylist who has had an influence on the looks of many influential artists, including Grace Jones, Deborah Harry, and Madonna. Maripol is also a Polaroid artist photographer who has exhibited her photos in art galleries all over the world. Her photographic work is being collected by museums. In 2006, Maripol had a new book of her life’s photography published. Maripol is best known for designing for and styling pop singer Madonna during the Madonna and Like a Virgin albums in the mid-1980s. Maripol’s trademark black rubber bracelets, jewelery and crucifixes became as iconic as Madonna herself in these early years.
