In a tribute to its roots of denim and leather, Bread & Butter Berlin teamed up with Penfield to celebrate this season�s Bread & Butter Berlin exhibition taking place this week. The collaboration item of choice includes a Penfield Denim Down Vest which features a brown leather yoke. The vest is limited to 61 pieces only and slated for release only to BBB friends and family. The number 61 was chosen to pay home to the old Berlin Tempelhof airport.

I wanna get my hands on that all black staple Penfield

This was nicely down. Best thing I’ve seen from Jeff Staple in a loooooooooong time.

Just in time for the holidays, Reed Space and Penfield have collaborated on this winter jacket exclusively for Reed Space. Inspired by old school military issue MA-1 Jackets, but this offers up the warmth and function that only Penfield can bring. The jacket features leather reinforcement at shoulders and pockets as well as cuffs and pocket openings. The interior collar is a soft herringbone corduroy. The lining is complete safety orange. Available now at Reed Space and very select Staple retailers.

Gotta snag one of these for the winter.

With days getting shorter and colder, Penfield offers another chance to get the best of fashion, function, practicality and durability for this winter. In this respect, they have released a brand new navy version of the classic Stapleton down jacket in a limited run of 50 pieces. The vintage-inspired jacket features a brown leather shoulder yoke and contrast yellow lining, and is now available exclusively through Penfield’s US online store.

Hood Classic…I called it. If I see Jimmy from 5H  Jones sporting this I’ll be highly upset. I’m sure he can get Christian Audigier to do a knock off version.

A banger from Penfield and Edifice in the form of an 80/20 goose down vest. It comes available in four colorways – black, grey, grey/blue plaid and grey/red plaid. The limited vest celebrates Edifice’s 15^thanniversary.  It contains a nylon body lining, goose down insulation, 100% leather shoulder yoke, internal buffalo plaid shoulder yoke and 2 exterior insulated hand warmer pockets. Available in Japan the  grey market. Proxy?

Copp & save…Trust me on this!

There is no lack of great Penfield collaborations – for good reason. The outerwear brand has strong heritage in producing compelling and fashion forward looks that appeal to an incredibly wide array of buyers. Like most good things, it’s preferable to team with the great rather than trying to reinvent something good. Rag & Bone for Autumn 2009 worked with Penfield on a vest jacket in two colorways. The jackets are made from “windproof melton wool” produced by the good people at Schoeller of Switzerland.  Two great looks all around for this coming Autumn.
