When my nephew was an infant. My sister would ask me to watch him for a bit. She’d leave him with me. I’d play Dilla beats for him & he would pass out. When she return to pick him up. She was always baffled at the fact. I’d get him to sleep. Thank You & Rest in Peace Dilla.
In an all-L.A. joint venture, Stones throw records and Stussy have collaborated to produce this tribute to the late hip-hop producer, J-Dilla. The graphic on the front shows Jay sport a Stussy tee and is taken from Raph Rashid’s 2005 book, “The Beat: Hip-Hop Home Studios” which photographed a series of hip hop producers. Both a black and a white version will available, on February 13 (February 10, being the 3rd anniversary of J-Dilla’s passing).

I’ll never forget my road trip to DC in ‘03. I slinged Jay-Z tickets on Georgia Ave. All 100 tickets. Thanks for the Love (the club) & the support (cha-ching) DC.
This month marks the start of a monthly initiative on behalf of Stussy DC as the two year old chapter will begin a roll-out of exclusive t-shirts. Among the first release is the Chocolate City t-shirt based on its affiliation with funk band Parliament back in 1975 and the “Chocolate City” album. The t-shirt is available now at Stussy DC.

Someone let the cat out of the bag and the kitty decided to cozy up next to Stussy for a collaborative capsule collection. Featuring the widely adored global sensation of a cat with a bow but no mouth, the capsule collection gives Hello Kitty a bit of a street edge with some sassy tag lines. Taunting little boys to skate tough? Check. Telling big boys to shut it? Check.
The collection that is due to drop on Nov 7 consisting of a range of graphic tees fusing Hello Kitty with Stussy’s iconic swirly font, hoodies and other accessories is an interesting one for the female crowd. Check out the collection that is bound to bring some new female fans over to the Stussy side.

Stussy has collaborated with Smart Magazine for their November 2009 issue. The outcome is a new version of the classic Stussy stock t-shirt. The SS link of the graphic was enhanced with some rhinestone details. The outcome is subtle, even though rhinestones were used.
