The North Face Purple Label update their line of timeless and heritage-styled backpacks and waistbags with an “Old Kilim” theme for this season. Based on traditional flat-style tapestry-woven rugs from the Middle East, the colorful pattern is applied in two different styles over a backpack and waistbag. Available now at ARK STANDARD.

The North Face Purple is one of those brands that we deeply regret not being able to get outside of Japan. nanamica is in charge of the brand and presents fantastic pieces every season, fusing The North Face heritage with technical materials. Today we came across this new wind coat from the line. The yellow will always remain a classic on these kinds of jackets and nanamica adds some nice fabrics, as well as technical features to it, while overall keeping the classic appeal. Japanese brand nanamica continues to work with The North Face on the Purple Label Collection, which is exclusive to Japan. This month they present a new backpack, coming with a mixed nyon/leather construction and The North Face Purple Label logo tags. They are being released in Japan today. Via AC.

The water repellent 65/35 material composition is further highlighted by the the use of patches with a distinct heritage mountaineering theme. There was a time where a certain type of person wore a vest. You were either cool, tuff, fly or all of the above. Last night at Philipe I saw this marshmallow character rocking a vest. SMFH… Chumps please don’t ruin the down vest. I beg you.

Quintessential outdoors label The North Face team up with Junya Wantanabe’s COMME des GARCONS MAN on a new down vest for the Holidays. The piece features a simple design with the usual Wantanabe design aesthetic accented with a premium leather yoke and asymmetrical zipper pockets.

Comme  des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN worked with The North Face on a couple of pieces for Fall/Winter 2009. Complementing their hunting and outdoor inspired offering of the season, they produced in collaboration with The North Face a vest in several colorways, as well as two coats. The North Face logos are embroidered tonal and nice details include cordoroy and leather patches through out the collection. The pieces are now available from Reinforce.

The North Face release a new colorway in their Mountain Wind Parka, made specifically for their Japanese exclusive Purple Label. The ultra-lightweight jacket is highlighted by the use of tan and pink contrasting colors alongside the technically driven water-proof Pertex material, known for its versatile, wind resistant, and durable wicking fabric. The jacket is now available via Hynms.
