Vans drops a new series of Authentic’s from its California Collection for Spring 2010. Featured is this standout colorway, pairing a pewter base with red and orange accents. Premium laces and a nylon ripstop upper add a nice new dimension to the timeless silhouette. Retailing for $58 USD, they are now available via Wish.

Kinda crazy for the 1st time in history. Vans out sold Nike. Hit more to see my favorite color way.

A very solid new silhouette is coming from the Vans Vault Spring 2010 Collection – the Native American Binding. The high top sneaker looks similar to the Sk8 Hi, but features some nice other details. Aside from the leather toe cap, the sneaker also comes with a tonal Vans logo tag on the side-panels. For Spring 2010 it comes in three tonal colorways, made of premium suede leather on the upper. Look out for a release early 2010. With their Vault Collection, Vans offers such simple, yet highly detailed footwear, that one sometimes asks for the need of high fashion sneakers, which pretty much look the same, yet come in at much higher prices.

There goes that RED X

To celebrate the Christmas season, Vans Japan has released the following “Chococake” V2041 Hi with the guidance of ABC-Mart. The relatively chunky silhouette includes a checkered upper with hints of Christmas seen in the red lining and the green trim around a gold badge on the tongue. A SK8-HI version, not pictured here, is set to release as well.

Back in March, Western Edition released a series of 10th Anniversary Miles Davis inspired decks. It was recently revealed that they also produced a one of a kind pair of Vans Sk8 Hi’s. As an extension of the deck artwork, these Vans feature full panel close-up illustrations of Miles ‘59 Quartet band members and a tri-color Western Edition logo on the back. These are not scheduled for a public release.

Vans drops a selection of Organic Classics from their Summer 2009 Collection, including two colorways in the timeless Authentic and a flashier colorway for the Era. All three are now available at select Vans retailers including District Footwear.

Epi!

Vans hooks it up with a closer look into the upcoming collabo with Crooks & Castles. The kicks are part of the East vs. West Pack that will also feature the likes of Acapulco Gold. Each pack will feature a matching tee with the newly designed Moda Hi sneaker, a fusion of the SK8-Hi and Mountain Edition Hi. The new design still retains a retro flair with more progressive technical features. The luxurious looking kicks, sporting Epi Leather uppers, are set for a March 2010 release. Stay tuned for a closer look into the other models.

Another Vans drop this month features the CA pack, a selection of tonal offerings revolving around the 46 and SK8-HI models. The uppers feature suede and canvas uppers as the foxing band includes a series of lines rather than the customary smooth finish. Available now in all black or all red over at HUF.
