“The richest one percent of this country owns half our country’s wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do, stock and real estate speculation. It’s bullshit. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. We make the rules, pal. The news, war, peace, famine, upheaval, the price per paper clip. We pick that rabbit out of the hat while everybody sits out there wondering how the hell we did it. Now you’re not naive enough to think we’re living in a democracy, are you buddy? It’s the free market. And you’re a part of it. You’ve got that killer instinct. Stick around pal, I’ve still got a lot to teach you.”

![F.luxury.B x Nike World Basketball Week at the BALL ROOM [Harlem] 1](http://fluxuryb.com/uploads/2010/08/F.luxury.B-x-Nike-World-Basketball-Week-at-the-BALL-ROOM-Harlem-1.jpg)
Nike selected me your favorite non blogger to checkout The Ball Room in Harlem with a couple of other bloggers/taste makers. I must say Nike treated ya boi like a KING that week. Shoutout to Heron Preston, Israel Kandarian & Sharon McKee. The group consisted of Johnny Killface, Ricky & Dee, Jason Scott, Bongo Boy & his homie from France. The Van escorted us up from Bowery & Houston to 133rd in Harlem were we linked up with 40 oz Van & his crew “creepin”. Being a New Yorker personally I have to commend Nike for bring it Uptown. The only place at one point you could copp “uptowns” aka the AF1. Props to Israel for doing a good job designing the space. They had some priceless articles ie. Jordan’s Rookie jersey, An original James Naismith basketball with the shoe lace to hold it together and many more. It was mind blowing to be around all that legacy and history. Presentation is everything and the Ball Room staff was on point! The production of sneakers & apparel has come so far, like mind blowing far. They also gave us a preview of the instant classic AF1 x Foamposites. I remember as kid asking my friend to walk with me to foot locker just so I could stare at the oringal Nike foamposites designed for Penny Hardaway in black everyday after school. At the end of the presentation Heron presented is with a Nike back pack with a pair of these new instant classics. Thanks Nike for the memories & kicks. Massive shoutout to Heron, Israel & Sharon McKee!!!
